I have two Harvest Moon collagraph prints on the wall and five in the print browser. I hope you can come to this very intimate gallery.

Jersey Rocks

13th and 14th January 2024 at Greve de Lecq Barracks

I received good publicity for my most recent exhibition with ArtHouse Jersey via their website, social media and regular reminders.

Rural Post published an article entitled ‘Jersey Rocks From An Artist’s Perspective in the week running up to the Pop Up exhibition on January 7th.

The Jersey Evening Post wrote a great promotional article ‘Inspired by Jersey’s geology to create original artworks’ with images of collagraph prints mid-week.

Bailiwick Express also heralded the exhibition on their Art Fix page, ‘Explore the beauty of volcanic activity’ on Friday 12th January.

On the same day I was interviewed by Charles from BBC Jersey about my Pop Up exhibition at Greve de Lecq Barracks. Later the same day Pip from Channel ITV came to talk to me about the exhibition.

The concept of my exhibition was a walk around the island from the barracks in a clockwise direction. A map indicated the locations of the prints and there was a presentation on a 5 minute loop illustrating how photographs of rocks were translated into a plate, so that visitors could compare the marks and textures mirrored. Geological terms were included in the titles of prints in the hope that visitors would want to find out more about the rock formations. A selection of plates were available for visitors to handle and match to the framed prints. This encouraged closer examination of the textures and patterns and acted as a stimulus for questions and discussions. My solo exhibition had a constant flow of visitors. It was a pleasure to engage in conversations with visitors and to explain the collagraph printing process. I think a cosy indoor environment helped on a pretty cold weekend! I received very positive feedback (see a selection below). Thank you to everyone who made the journey to Greve de Lecq Barracks or dropped in as they cycled past!

Thank you Anne. Beautiful studies of the geology formed over time. Makes you think about the. History, movement of time to reflect on those formations. Lovely attention to detail – texture, form, colour.‘
